this goes well with blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, with rhubarb, over apples or pears or peaches, on top of banana or pumpkin bread or muffins, and probably some other things i'm not thinking of right now.
my sister-in-law asked me for this recipe the other day. so, i grabbed a drawing that had been a gift from a kiddo when i was subbing, and wrote my recipe out, snapped a picture, and texted it to her. then i got to thinking that you all might like the recipe. so, here it is. i think this is the right amount for an 8x8 or a round, you could probably double it for a 9x13.
you could also leave out the brown sugar and butter and use pure maple syrup instead. i have done that when i am in a season of needing to really avoid dairy and added sugar, and it works pretty well.
if you've got some new rhubarb or some old apples or other fruits or ideas, try topping them with this crumble. and enjoy! {preferably with coffee.}
