the kiddos and i got to watch the USFWS guys (including ben and my dad) burn at the learning center on friday afternoon.
the flowers i picked in jackson hole that rode on my dash until they disintegrated . . . there are still tiny bits of them, stuck by the windsheild
the house is for sale. i hope somebody buys it and moves in and loves it.
the trailer is for sale. i hope somebody buys it soon and uses it and loves it.
the kiddos have 8.5 days left of this school year. i can't wait to spend days on end with them again.
we rode bikes a long ways today, the kids and i, while ben was out burning. i love being out in the fresh air, moving and working and enjoying my surroundings and my kiddos.
i had a to-do list last week. i don't know if that's good, or bad. i did get seven of ten items crossed off - so i only have to move three of them on to the coming week. i have three more to add to that.
i don't often make to-do lists any more. ben told me i had to stop. they were too often a reason for me to beat myself up at the end of the day. now, i only write lists if there are things that i absolutely cannot forget to do. laundry and baking and cleaning are not allowed on those lists.
ben is still around home - working long days doing prescribed burns, but coming home every night! not out west yet. i am loving this. and it's fun to watch him work, or have him take us to sites where they burned and tell us how it all went.
and now, i'm calling it a night. i finished my peppermint tea, and i'm going to go crawl in with my man. here's to a cheery and bright start to a new week! love and sunshine to you, my friends!
