today there is heavy cloud cover, cold wind, patches of snow on the frozen brown ground, no green anywhere, a damp chill in the air, a promise of snow tonight and into tomorrow . . .nothing very picturesque.

so, let's look at pictures from last year, instead. shall we?

i can't wait till it's like this again! they've been saying for more than a week that thursday is supposed to be the turning point. i'm hoping and praying! we've had far too many cold, cloudy days in a row here. the sun will shine warmly again. i know it will.
