I decided that through this month, we will make a point to give and record our thanks. God is so good and He deserves our praise and thanks all the time, but November is a month when we think about what we are grateful for (here in the US), at least for a day or two. My kiddos and I are going to focus on what we are thankful for all month.
So far, this month has been very grey. Thick, heavy, monotonous grey clouds. (Notice the poor lighting in all my pictures for this post . . . grey days, my friends. Grey days.)
But every day, we are making colorful leaves, and writing on them what we are thankful for.
Then, we tape them up on the door, where we can see them all the time.
And Saturday afternoon, Maddie and I drew birds that we are thankful for and added them to our project. Chick-a-dees are my favorite. Cardinals are Maddie's.
Our days will be brightened by our reminders of what we are thankful for. It's already working for me!
