12 pounds is too many. And in 7 days, no less. But in the last 24 hours I've been able to eat 3 bananas, 3 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of toast, a bit of fruit salad, a piece of cheese with ham, and drink a whole lot of apple juice. And it's all stayed in. Maybe I'll be able to gain some of that back . . .
yes. i did. have that d word. while we were camping. i got really well acquainted with the woods and any available outhouses. once, while i was in the woods, i wanted to yell to ben, "mr. fredrickson! do i dig the hole before or after?" (have you seen UP?, if you haven't, you should.) and i didn't eat a whole lot. cause within a short while of eating, my stomach would twist in knots and, well, yeah. but. i did keep drinking. and drinking. and i still had to find those outhouses and the woods on a very regular basis. but really, i felt o.k. other than having random stomach cramps. and being so hungry i wanted to cry. and totally running out of energy. but. i did do really pretty well.
and the conclusion? i found out in april that i am gluten intolerant. well. now i know just how very intolerant i am. even a trace wreaks havoc in me. now that i've been off for three solid months. so. i shall stay far. far. far. away.
and now that my tummy is not rumbling and twisting, i will be eating. a lot. so i don't look, in my dad's words, gaunt. i just want to be healthy.
