Right now, I am...
:: smelling bread, fresh from my oven.
:: feeling grateful for this week (a whole seven days) with only one night of work thrown in.
:: doing a lot of playing with Maddie and Isaac (Settlers of Catan and Legos).
:: missing in a nostalgic sort of way doing the same sorts of things with my brother when he and I were Maddie and Isaac's ages.
:: drinking coffee.
:: wondering if I should be drinking tea. Hmmm . . .
:: eating dark chocolate whenever I get a chance.
:: watching my wildflowers take over one hillside while the weeds take over the other.
:: wanting the thistles to just be gone.
:: planning with Ben for next year's garden boxes and a pen for two piggies and maybe even a chicken coop.
:: giggling every time Isaac tells a story and his eyebrows tell more of the story than his words do.
:: loving the photos my girl took of me the other morning (I'll share them soon.)
:: continuing to organize little corners of this home.
:: smiling at the little memories I find in my piles.
:: appreciating how very helpful Miss Maddie is growing to be. She cleans, she organizes, she even makes me coffee and toast after I've worked.
:: thanking my husband and kiddos for how they are adjusting to and helping me adjust to this new life of ours.
:: looking forward to riding bikes to the library with Maddie and Isaac in an hour or so (after we've eaten some of that bread we're smelling).
:: wishing you all a lovely day with at least one moment you just savor (and write down to remember later).
with love ~e
