bits of sunshine

a hair update

just in case any of you were wondering, i'm still lovin' my short hair.  it's so easy!  just wash (it dries so fast!) stick some gel or spray in it (it has funny little flips a waves that i really like) and go about my day.  i get lots of compliments on how it complements my face or is just right for me.  yep, i'm still lovin' the short do.

Sunday Morning

. woke to rain . but thought of the  fruit slush in the freezer . filled water balloons . the rain stopped . the sky stayed overcast just long enough for us to finish our part in the parade . the sun came out in time for us to enjoy the rest of the day .

This week, I have been packing and packing.  Today and tomorrow will be very big packing days.  I am trying to have the house we are in now completely packed by the end of the day tomorrow - we'll see!  then we will enjoy the weekend - lots of celebrating planned!  And early next week, we will be living at our new address - if all goes as planned.  We had started thinking about moving out to our new home and living in tents (we have water and electricity now) so we could just be there and not have to run back and forth and keep up with both places.  On Saturday night, Ben and I talked it over and over and hashed out how we could make it work.  On Sunday morning, some friends at church asked us how things were going and when we planned to be out at our new house.  We told them about our camping idea and that we really just want to be out there, we want to be home.  They left.  Then they came back. And said, "We have a fifth wheel camper in storage.  Would you want to use that for the next two months?"  Would we want to use it???  Oh. yes.  With tears in my eyes, yes.  We will be able to be out at our home.  And we won't have to sleep on the ground for six weeks.  So, off to pack.
