Let's have some bullet points, shall we? It just seems like a good idea at the moment.
But first, I'll show you one of my birthday presents ::
Elissa made these awesome coasters for me - they are double-sided, and I love them!
- Ben preached today. He also preached last Sunday. Our pastor is on sabatical. So Ben is filling the pulpit. I have really enjoyed listening to my husband share what God has laid on his heart.
- Today, the sun was shining BRIGHTLY and warmly. This afternoon, Ben and I put on cozy jackets, grabbed our coffee cups, set our lawn chairs in the sun and watched our children tear through the yard and driveway and over a make-shift jump on their bicycles.
- My hips were aching. It's that time, you know. (I'll take aching hips any day over killer cramps, though.) BUT . . .
- You know the feeling of turning your face to the sun, closing your eyes, and just letting the warmth soak into your bones? I love that feeling.
- Isaac is a MANIAC on his bike. A maniac, I tell you. He is going to be one tough little man by the end of the summer. Wait, by the end of the week?
- Maddie slept on sponge rollers last night. You know the little pink ones? The ones we use were mine when I was little. Anyway, her hair looked so short when we took the curlers out this morning - it was in bouncy ringlets! She had so much fun going to church with curly hair.
- Right now I am watching Ben trying to find things in the kitchen . . . yesterday, I started cleaning out cupboards in my kitchen. I had one that was FULL of papers and junk. And I needed to find a couple papers in the pile in order to finish our taxes. So . . . what started as a one cupboard clean-out ended up being a complete kitchen clean and re-organize. I'll show-and-tell some of the cupboards one day later this week. For now, I'll just tell you that Ben is a bit lost, but he is being a good sport.
- Planning some other fun posts for this week . . . stay tuned!
