If you wander around blog-land, chances are, you've seen a "corners of my home" post on somebody's blog. Well, I've been working on a few corners in my home. Seems like it takes living in a place for a while to figure out what each corner works best for. And maybe the corners grow and change with the changing needs. Anyway. We've done some rearranging of our 3 small bedrooms.
Ben and I moved into the smallest one. It might seem silly - but all we do is sleep in there. So - first, I took my hammer to this lovely piece of furniture. I got it at a rummage sale for $15 at the end of the summer - the mirror was nowhere to be found, so . . . I tore it apart . . .
and the two side pieces fit perfectly, and I do mean perfectly on either side of our bed as night stands! I wish I could take credit for this idea - but I can't. I saw some at an estate sale (that weren't for sale) and the lady told me how she had found an old mirror-less vanity, and took it apart . . . and made her beautiful night stands. So, I copied her. They are the perfect height for our tall bed, and the perfect width for our tiny room!My dresser had to cram in, partially in front of a window.
This is the wall at the foot of our bed. Ben gave me the calla print and made the heart full of a long, romantic love note for Valentine's Day four years ago.
The wall beside my side of the bed. (The closet is next to Ben's side).
And that, my friends, is our tiny room in all of it's freshly painted, soft grey-green splendor. It's very cozy. And now, I am off to sleep in it.
If you have a "corner" to share - link to it in the comments. :) Let's go visiting!
