One leg for a gift ::
One leg for my shop ::
I cut off the leg below the worn-out knee, found some fun lining fabric in my stash, made a little row of pockets inside so phone and lip gloss and keys don't get lost in the bottom of the bag,
I put on a handle that's long enough to sling across messenger bag style and have the bag ride at your hip. Then I dug out some wooden beads and made a button-loop closure and a funky flower design on the front.
This bag measures 11 1/2 inches across and 12 inches deep. The handle is 47 inches long.
I think I'm going to make some more of these! Now that I figured out what I'm doing - it's fun! And I get this really insane joy out of turning a lined purse (of any size) right side out. Any one else know what I'm talking about?
I've got a whole stash of bluejeans that have holes in odd places from Ben wearing them for work - so, I can make these and some other ideas I've got to my heart's content.
