This is an idea I found on another blog and then realized that there has been a group of people on Flickr who do this 'self-portrait tuesday' thing. It seemed interesting . . . so, here is my first one.
And now, I must relate a **Wonderful Husband/Daddy Moment** Courtesy of none other than the wonderful Ben.
Yesterday evening, Maddie found Ben's razor - or maybe I should say the razor found the end of Maddie's thumb. I washed as much of the blood away as I could and bandaged her up and tucked her in to bed. I didn't have any children's pain reliever, so I laid down by her and propped her hand up while she fell asleep. She woke up at about 11:00, and I'm sure her cut was throbbing. So Ben, who was recently home from a meeting and ready to go to bed himself, went out to Wal-Mart and bought what you see here:
pink, bubble-gum flavored ibuprofen, pain-relieving neosporin and princess band-aids. Maddie's thumb, immediately upon application of all of the above, felt better, and she was able to sleep the rest of the night. What a wonderful husband I have.
today i am working on the layout of my blog - i want it to look prettier
and i will be working on my little star quilts.
tomorrow, this should look fresh and new.
and i should have pictures of quilts in progress.
