on wednesday this past week it was 47 degrees and sunny. we went for a long bike ride. a really long bike ride. we were doing our school-work and i looked out the window and thought we better just take advantage of the day. so, out the door we went. and headed over to our local bike trail. it was so nice to ride along in the sunshine. nobody else was out on the trail, so part of the way we were able to ride three abreast and just visit.
on the way back into town, we stopped by some friends' house. we stepped inside to the aroma of chocolate. they are starting a chocolate making venture - from raw cacoa beans in the hull to lovely chocolates for sale. they shared some samples with us and showed us some in-progress goodies. (maybe i should feature them here one day soon . . . hmm . . . )
when we returned home, we decided to eat our lunch out in the sunshine.
i'm so glad that we took advantage of the weather! because thursday morning we woke to grey skies, cold wind, and snow flurries. friday it really snowed (though most of it blew away in the frigid wind). and today it is 1 degree, but feels like -15, according to the local weather report.
.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
so. i guess i can still do this. this blogging thing. i'm going to try to be back here, sort of regularly. i've missed this. but once i was away, it was hard to start back up . . .
i did post on my flickr page . . . you can check there if you wonder what all i've been up to (i've been posting a picture and short thought there most days - a year's worth of memories . . . )
hugs to you, my friends. ~e
